Hi friends! It's been a while, and I owe you an update. This past year has been one of the toughest I've faced. After over a decade of running my handmade shops, from crocheted items to cross-stitch patterns and machine embroidery accessories, everything changed when my second shop @ananasbroderie was shut down by Etsy last November, and to add insult to injury my pattern shop was suspended this August. * I've been trying to rebuild. As most of you know I set up my own website a while ago, still, people would keep going through Etsy, but with the whole tariffs thing and now with Canada Post going on strike countless time, domestic and international shipping seems impossible. I have been attempting to sell at local markets, but repeated rejections have taken a toll on my confidence and self-esteem as an artist. * I've struggled with burnout and health problems while also being a mom, wife, daughter, friend and regular human and all that have drained my energy and creativity, and some days I barely recognize the person I was when I was inspired and driven. I'll level with you, right now, I don't know if I'll ever find that spark again or what the future holds. I can barely enter my craft room without breaking down in tears 😕 * But I'm still here (not on this app since I've been avoiding this account to protect my sanity 😅), still trying, and taking things one day at a time. Hi there! Just checking in to share a few updates and thoughts 😅 . First of all, 2024 was a weird year, I spent most of the first part of it sick, then incredibly busy with orders from my second shop and finished it with Etsy closing that shop (which was a significant source of income for my family) which caused my mental health to take a huge dip into hell 😀. . I've been struggling with making patterns, not feeling motivated and I feel extremely alienated from social media to the point that I'm not even sure if posting here is actually making any difference. Still, here I am. . Throughout the holidays I had a lot of time to reflect and play LoZ Ocarina of Time 😅, get some sleep, and make a plan for 2025. I'm still not sure how it will go because life keeps happening, but here it goes: ⭐ I added all my inventory from @ananasbroderie to my website, so if you're looking for personalized embroidery clothing for your kiddos, I can hook you up! 😋 (Link in Bio) ⭐I applied for Laval Comicon and got waitlisted, so I'm prepping for it as if I'm going since last year the same happened and I was accepted like one month before the event and had tu turn it down. So I'm in prepping mode for that. ⭐I have a few patterns and cross stitch kits I want to upload, and those will come out eventually. .
